Scott Headley is a high-impact operations leader and consultant with a dynamic, three-decade career focused on restoring profitability, elevating operational efficiency, and implementing transformative improvements in diverse manufacturing environments. As the co-owner and president of Lodestar Consulting, LLC, Scott specializes in operational turnarounds, process optimization, and strategic guidance for manufacturing firms. His approach is rooted in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, project management, process improvement and operations management which he leverages to build sustainable growth frameworks tailored to each client’s unique needs.
At Lodestar Consulting, Scott has led several high-profile projects with substantial operational outcomes. His portfolio includes setting up a rapid recovery protocol for an automotive technology client facing an industry audit failure, which involved orchestrating a multi-layered response with several additional consultants and numerous child projects involving engineers, managers, and executives from multiple disciplines. Scott’s expertise in designing robust operational frameworks led to the establishment of a Design for Manufacturing/Assembly process, providing a streamlined engineering approach that integrates seamlessly with production capabilities. Scott was recently called upon to assist an automotive OEM with streamlining several production assembly lines to support ongoing production and a new product launch.
Before founding Lodestar Consulting, Scott served in pivotal roles in major packaging industry players like Georgia Pacific, and Graphic Packaging. As Director of Operations at Georgia Pacific, he quickly achieved profitability in a facility that had not been profitable in five years. Scott drove stability by building a cohesive management team, establishing detailed capacity planning protocols, and initiating a robust equipment reliability process.
Scott’s dedication to continuous improvement is complemented by his service in the U.S. Army, where he reached the rank of Captain. This experience instilled in him a strong sense of responsibility, resilience, and leadership that he carries into his professional life. Furthermore, his service shaped Scott’s strong belief that meaningful and sustainable change does not occur in a conference room, but rather at the point of the process. He believes in a “boots on the ground” approach.
Jamie Headley is the co-owner of Lodestar Consulting LLC. She has over 30 years of operational and leadership experience helping companies execute turnarounds, exceed their goals and maximize profits. She has held numerous leadership roles as an operations executive serving as the VP of Operations for Art.com, the Director of Supply Chain for Catalent Pharma Solutions and Plant Services Manager for MeadWestvaco.
Jamie also spent several years in business development, working as the Director of Business Development for the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center. At MMTC Jamie lead the Sales team and worked with the Federal government and State of Michigan to help provide solutions for small to midsize manufacturers in Michigan.
She continued to expand her career by starting her own dementia consulting business, Dementia Services Group, helping families and training care providers to improve the quality of life for those with cognitive impairment. Jamie’s mother suffered through Alzheimer’s Disease and helping others navigate dementia continues to be a passion of hers. Dementia Services Group continues today as part of Lodestar Consulting.
With Lodestar, Jamie has been working as a Fractional COO/EOS Integrator for a family owned, 53-year-old machines shop. Partnering with the University of Michigan, Jamie is leading a turnaround and has helped the team achieve profitability for the first time in several years. In addition to the improved financial performance and operational efficiencies, she has guided the team in updating technology, improving culture and expanding the customer portfolio of the business setting it up for growth and sustainable results.
